DESCRIPTION AND USAGE
S.A.I.C.I.'s STMD turbomixers are specifically designed to treat bentonite muds used in drilling and excavating operations. Compared to STM series, the STMD are equipped with a soundproof diesel motor. These kind of turbomixers are composed of a steel cylindrical tanks set up on a solid framework. During the treatment the muds are mixed through an high speed vortex produced by a special pump. The pump draws the muds from the bottom of the tank and then sends them back tangentially into the tank which is shaped in order to get highest efficiency. Through a valve the pump carries the muds to the storing tank or to the using area. This process allows to get homogeneous colloidal and high quality mixture in a short time.
